The combination Cairo and Cape Town has a strong appeal. In the first month of 1995 a large team of a Dutch Broadcasting Corporation left for the important journey from Cairo to Cape Town. On board during the long journey were several well known broadcasters who made regular broadcasts. The team visited several aid projects. It was an enormous operation, they took their own cook, their own medical doctor. At the end of the month of May the team arrives in Cape Town. 

The book is a very readable book, with quotations from different diaries of the participants. Many beautiful pictures have been included in this book. 

In the book positive words are dedicated to Eritrea. The situation in the country has deteriorated very fast, there is persecution of many people, especially christians, who form a minority.
