review AMADOU AFRIKAANSE NOTITIES

Lieve Joris has put on her travelling shoes.

Well, it happened a few years.

In June 1993 she travelled to Senegal and about a month later she returned from Senegal. She had been before in the country in West Africa, that happened six years earlier. She meets old friends and she makes new friends. Lieve Joris Always has a good way of meeting people and sharing time. She stays at places where she can join in the life of the people she meets. At the same times she keeps a distance and and observes and writes. She writes about young people and old buildings, about illusions and disappointments, about slowness in life.

Lieve Joris has a beautiful way of writing that shows her love for the people she meets on her travels.
