an openingspeech: african literature does not exist

She was present at the Internationales Literatur Festival Berlin. Her speech was delivered at the edge of afternoon and evening. She was to speak on the non-existence of African literature. A matter of identity and boundaries. Lock them up in their own geography.

Or did she say something else?

Read her speech (not speach, sic ) here.
Do not confuse it with an openings peach. Tasty, it might be.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.
