why wole soyinka said jonathan

The name ‘Jonathan’ is a biblical name. So is the name ‘Nebuchadnezzar’, the name of a powerful ruler in the days of the Old Testament.

The Nigerian author compares his president Jonathan Goodluck to this ruler, or should he have taken the Roman emperor Nero as an example? Soyinka talks about the political situation in his country, with a focus on the terrorism that has foudn an abode in his country.
