the mystery of the clichéd african

I had not noticed it, the onesidedness covers of books  on African themes. What I had seen was a wide variety. But when you look at the covers that I refer to, you will notice the same tree, the same sunset, the same plain. A certain impression of what Africa is or should be or may be, is put before our eyes.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.
