chinese involved in all of Africa’s

There is no end to articles on the relationship between Africa and China. Earlier today a wrote a booknote on Lieve Joris’ latest book on the growing relationship between Africa and China.

This time we look a a special niche in trade. Let us call it smuggle. Elephants are shot by the dozen. These elephants belong to the treasure of Africa. Many people like to a have a close look at these impressive animals. But the number of elephants is dwindling. Not due to diseases. Not due to drought. Due to poaching!

In a recent report it is stated that at every corner of the poaching and smuggling a Chinese person is present.
