confessions. an interview with ken bugul

She was born in Senegal, but moved to the European country Belgium. This country hosts three different languages: Dutch, French and German.

Her real name is Mariètou Mbaye Biléoma, but she took the pen-name of Ken Bugul. Her books have been translated form French into English. At the time of the interviw she lived in Senegal once again. She seems to be filled with contradictions, she is big enough to contain it all.

This interview was published in Senegal.
