wilbur smith interviewed

Earlier today  I wondered why I should be reading the books by Wilbur Smith. Now there is an interview with the prolific author and he seems to be one of the richest writers in the world. Richness does not seem to be a reason to me to read someone’s books.

Let me first read the interview.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.

  1. I have read all Wilbur Smith books. The quality varies a little with some a lot better than others. “Rage” is particularly good. It’s about the creation of apartheid in South Africa. I studied African history at university and sometimes I wonder if his books sparked my interest. I now live in Lagos, Nigeria and have traveled a lot through Africa. I feel as though it is “home” now.
