He has left many trails behind him since his days in Congo/Brazzaville. He moved to France and now he works in the United States of America. In this interview Alain Mabanckou takes us back to his early days and the books he read in those days. Have these books influenced him? He read Steinbeck and now he lives in California (USA), is this an influence?
