There is a steady and impressive stream of writers with Somali roots. Many of them write in Eglish for they have found refuge in English-speaking countries. Others have moved to Italy.

Less known are those who have moved to Saudi Arabia and write in the local language. One of those writers is Mohammad Ali Diriye.
