why we must resist

The events in the French capital Paris last week has stirred emotions. Over a million people came together yesterday fotr a manifestation. Heads of state were present.

People wanted to express their shock at the attacks at the office of a critical, satirical magazine. And next to that what the hostage-situation at a kosher supermarket in the same capital city.

These events stirred emotions but also pens. Not just in France and in Europe, but also on other continents. Some of the these voices I will refer to in the coming hours.

Here you find the first voice. It is the voice of Laila Lalami, she was born in Moroccco and lives and works in the United States of America.
