when cairo calls

The books were present and readers and publishers from different countries.

The Book Fair was held in Cairo, Egypt and many , many people turned up.

Here you find comments form three publishers, from outside Egypt, who talk about the importance and the possibilities of fairs like this. And you a bit of info on the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. He wrote many letters, especially to his brother Theo, the art dealer, who supported him. People from all over the world want to read his letters and now the Arabic version is on the way. 

Sherif Bakr, the organizing force behind Cairo Calling, also made sure there was plenty of local flavor.
