the audience does not treat me

I thought the announcement was made at the recently held Franschhoek Literary Festival (South Africa). I am talking about the writer Thando Mgqolozana. He said that he will no longer attend white literary festivals. He is not the first one to say so, and he will not be the last, I presume. Thando had made an earlier announcement at a festival in Durban about his future absence at white festivals of the literary kind.

Here you find an interview with Thando Mgqolozana.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.
