my father’s kidnapping

To me the word ‘ kidnapping’ is a strange word. I see a small child, a kid, being napped, taken away, stolen. But the word is also used for old men who are napped, stolen, taken away, dragged out of a car.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie writes about the kidnap of her old father, when he travelled in his car in his Nigeria.
