my life as a muslim

The writer Laila Lalami has  a few things in common with many of her fellow countrymen and countrywomen. They do not perform daily prayers. They do not go on a pilgrimage to Mecca. They do drink of the forbidden drink. They do give to charity.

To Laila Lalami it shows she is not a very good muslim. She gives her opinion, as a muslim, on the presentdays with violence and explosions and suicide bombers.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.
