Fagunwa: A new stride in literary scholarship

The need not just to study one’s culture but also to preserve it in a living way is of  great importance not just for our children who grow up in a particular culture but also for adults, who live with their past on their shoulders, watching for the way ahead. 

One of the people who realized the importance of a cultural chain in our present days was the Nigerian Fagunwa. A book has been published with essays concerning the work of D.O. Fagunwa. One of those present at the celebration of the launch of this book was the writer and academic Wole Soyinka.
