The book that Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi wrote took of with a slow start. Publishers were not keen to publish her book on the Ugandan world and the changes that came with it. In 2014 a Kenyan publisher decided to publish ‘Kintu’. The book gained a popular following and a following among the members of literary juries. In this interview the writer talks about her book.
