Kate Rogan – Love Books

This morning I passed by a shop with the sign: “The biggest booksellers in the country”. It is a shop, part of a countrywide chain. In the shop you can buy books, indeed, but also many other things. The books are the ones that do sell very well. Do not expect anything special.

Something special you can expect in an independent bookshop like the one in this article. It is all about the Love Books, in Johannesburg (South Africa). The owner of this independent bookshop is Kate Rogan, who tells about her books and her preferences and the books that have to be hidden from bookthieves.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.
