‘These were not men fighting, but corpses’

You hear about a book, but will you buy this book? Now you have a chance to wet your appetite by reading an excerpt of the debut thriller Asylum. It is written by the South African author Marcus Low who is based in Cape Town. The book is set in the famous Karoo. Barry James has been incarcerated in a hospital. What happens in this hospital? What has a redhead to do with it, and black stockings.

You can find the excerpt here.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.
