Writers of color are making their own canon

There seem to be two kinds of writers. On one side we have the writers of color and on the other side we have the writers of non-color.  Black and white are not colors, so black and white writers to one side and all the others to the other side. Do I confuse you, or do I confuse myself? Let us talk about writers. Let us talk about books. Let us talk about good books and very good books and some other books.
