Five years later, legacy of great academic, priest Donders lives

Father Joseph G. Donders

In the decade of the eighties of last century he was a household name in many circles in Kenya. He lectured at the university of Nairobi, his field was philosophy but his qualities went beyond this academic field. He wrote many books, in the context of Kenyan life. Some of these books were academic, others he wrote for the general public. Joseph G. Donders came from The Netherlands, took his Ph.D. in Rome, learnt one language after the other and knew how to communicate with the students and those outside the university. Her is a story to honour this talented man.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.
