As it happens characters come to live in the book your are writing. They come from left and right and just settle down on the page you are writing. You did not invite them. They just came with the intention of settling down in a cosy way on your pages. What to do?

Maybe you do not need these people in your bookhouse. Maybe you had invited others, but they did not come. Writing a novel is a coming and going of characters.

I enjoy reading about Africa. New books. Old books. By African writers. By non-African writers. Novel. History. Travel. Biographies. Autobiographies. Politics. Colonialism. Poetry.
